Our commitment
Cognassist is committed to making this website accessible to everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology. We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA, the recognised international standard for web accessibility, and we treat accessibility as part of how we design and build — not an afterthought.
What we do
- Colour contrast — text meets at least 4.5:1 (and 3:1 for large text and meaningful interface elements), checked against our design tokens.
- Keyboard — the site is fully operable by keyboard, with a logical focus order, no keyboard traps, and a visible focus indicator on every interactive element.
- Structure — semantic HTML with landmarks, a single main heading per page, and a correct heading order, so screen readers can navigate reliably.
- Targets — touch and pointer targets are at least 24×24px, and 44×44px for primary actions.
- Motion — animation respects your reduced motion system setting.
- Readability — links are distinguished by colour and weight rather than underline, and images carry meaningful alternative text.
How we test
Automated accessibility checks (axe-core) run on every change in our build pipeline across the homepage and a page of each template type, alongside checks for heading structure and alternative text. These are complemented by manual keyboard and screen-reader testing. Automated tools catch only part of the picture, so human testing remains part of our process.
Known limitations
Some content provided by third parties — such as embedded forms, live chat, or video players — may not fully meet our standards, as it is partly outside our control. We choose accessible providers where we can and continue to work on these areas.
